Entering 80 - September 26

Hi All . . .
I wanted you to see these images I took at the Charreada. The first on at top left is of staci diaz standing on the back of a 4 horse team riding at a full gallop.
The photo on the left is of a girl side saddle rider coming into the arena at full gallop. The image at the top left is the moment of the abrupt stop slide. Just imagine doing that kind of riding 'side saddle'. If you like these kind of horse events I hope I have tempted your interest to go to a Charreada. It is spectacular.

First thing this morning my friend Carl called to say that he had a sick kid home and we would not be able to go to The Little Red Barn for lunch, today. He was so apologetic and promised to do that sometime in the future. I told him not to worry, I won't starve to death and hope the kid recovers quickly.

About 2 weeks ago I had a bout with diarrhea and vomiting. Someone said it was a virus going around. Put me into a tailspin. I didn't really feel good til the latter part of the week. My taste buds were blah. Nothing tasted good, not even coffee.

Sooooooooooooo today I sort of lazed around. Worked on some of my photos and made disks to archive the images. I don't like to load up my computer too much. It works better when it is lean.

I just had a nice surprise!! My neighbor William made cornbread and brought me a large piece - warm out of the oven. When I was at the Fall Fest on Saturday, I bought some homemade peach jam. OMG - that tastes so good on warm cornbread. Everything tastes good on warm cornbread. One of my favorite meals when the weather turns cooler is pinto beans cooked until they make a thick sauce with bits of sausage in them and cornbread and onions. Add a can of Heinneken beer to that menu. Speaking of cooler weather, will we ever get some????

That did it . . . I'm hungry . . .Give somone a hug.
